About Me
Welcome to the DJ zone! where I share a bit about myself, I am DJSZ, and my start as a DJ began in the mid-90s, at a time when hip-hop hitting in clubs and the underground scene was banging deep-house. I started spinning at bars and pubs, bringing with me my small Behringer BCD3000 DJ controller. It was here, in these local bar and pub venues I developed my skills, learned how to mix, and having a deep passion for music.
As the years rolled by, I was fortunate to get a gig at York College in Toronto, where I had the opportunity to play at the campus radio station in the late 2000s. This experience not only expanded my reach but also allowed me to connect with a diverse audience, spinning the tracks that inspired me and discovering new ones along the way.
Throughout that time I’ve played at various small nightclubs and pubs around Toronto, now at this time I am using the Numark NS7. This powerful controller elevated my sets, allowing me to experiment with new styles of mixing and scratching while keeping the energy alive on the dance floor.
These days, I do smaller events, where I can create personal experiences and meet new people, doing birthdays and private parties, and some weddings. Each set is an adventure, they reflect the vibe of the moment and the spirit of those in the venue. I now focus on giving tips, advice, and DJ gear recommendations to beginner DJs when we meet at gatherings where people come together through the power of music.
Thank you for being a part of my musical adventure! Let’s make unforgettable memories together on the dance floor.
